These showcase mineral specimens are the largest one's found in the deposit. They are destined for public or private museums and are direct sale only by bank wire or bank draft due to their size and extreme rarity. Shipping will require insurance although I recommend purchasing these directly from myself at my bank in Cañon City, Colorado - safe and secure. All of these specimens have been analyzed by XRF and the largest aluminum nugget has been certified by XRF. Please use the contact form to inquire about these specimens.
Showcase Minerals
Iron Nugget ID 1
This specimen consists of a sliver of genuine native iron (natural but not Telluric) embedded and preserved in a beautiful piece of volcanic glass. It was apparently exposed by natural cracking of the glass. It is still magnetic. XRF analysis confirms native iron but the area analyzed was larger than the iron so the glass also shows up in the results. One of a kind. XRF analysis shows 91% light elements (LE), 3% silicon, 2% calcium, 2% potassium and 1% iron with trace amounts of titanium, sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine, cadmium, manganese, antimony, zinc, lead, tin, zirconium and palladium. Aluminum Nugget ID 18
This native aluminum nugget (natural) consists of two native aluminum nuggets shaped in strips that came down together and are naturally welded to make one large nugget. One nugget was in the natural position and the other showed movement after initial contact on the ground. XRF analysis shows 62% aluminum and 36% light elements (LE) with trace amounts of iron, manganese, zinc, copper, chromium, cadmium, hafnium, antimony, tin, rhodium, lead and zirconium. Weight: 84.4 g. VDI 86. Dimensions: 172mm L x 103mm W x 44mm H.
Aluminum Nugget ID 19
The Dueling Pistol. This native aluminum nugget (natural) only had a fine layer of oxidation and mineral deposits on the surface. The bubbles appear to be from gases since there were no inorganic salts present in the holes. If you collect old pistols then this will be hard to resist. The head of the nugget looks like the handle and the tail of the nugget looks like a blown off barrel. XRF analysis shows 81% aluminum and 17% light elements (LE) with trace amounts of iron, chromium, copper, zinc, titanium, manganese, cadmium, hafnium, vanadium, antimony, tin, palladium, nickel and lead. Weight: 67.7 g. VDI 95. Dimensions: 168mm L x 40mm W x 12mm H.
Aluminum Nugget ID 20
The Right Foot. Complete with an arch. A monster native aluminum nugget (natural) that is very bright and shiny. A must for a podiatrist or high end collector. XRF analysis shows 71% aluminum and 28% light elements (LE) with trace amounts of chromium, iron, copper, phosphorus, zinc, titanium, manganese, vanadium, cadmium, antimony, hafnium, tin, palladium and zirconium. Weight: 147.7 g. VDI 97. Dimensions: 145mm L x 80mm W x 23mm H.
Aluminum Nugget ID 23

Aluminum Nugget ID 26
The huge native aluminum nugget has incredible detail due to the impact with the ground and a twig. The twig almost penetrated the top of the nugget. The carbonaceous material leftover from the twig was impossible to completely clean out and is still embedded deep in the nugget. A spectacular specimen for the high end collector. XRF analysis shows 47% aluminum, 37% light elements (LE), 11% zinc, 2% copper and 1% tungsten with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, iron, hafnium, lead, cadmium, chromium, tin, antimony and bismuth. Weight: 174.7 g. VDI 83. Dimensions: 117mm L x 70mm W x 37mm H.
Aluminum Nugget ID 27
This huge native aluminum nugget (natural) has an incredible shape that is hard to describe. A nodular head region gives way to what appears to be layers of wavy metal. I was able to pop out the embedded rock from the bottom leaving nice imprints. All kinds of character due to the impact with the ground. XRF analysis shows 54% aluminum, 43% light elements (LE) and 2% silicon with trace amounts of iron, phosphorus, copper, chromium, zinc, titanium, manganese, lead, cadmium, hafnium, antimony, tin and zirconium.
